International Institute for Wellness development
In 2010, the Board of governors affirmed a decision about the establishment of the International Institute for Wellness Development. Its main purpose is mostly to research, create, expand and transfer the knowledge to encourage development of wellness activity as scientific research and economic activity since wellness is also one of the most promising activity for tourist development of Slovenia. To meet these purposes the Institute cooperates with similar international organisations for wellness activity development and brings forward the cooperation and long-term partnership with the European Wellness Institute EWI from Germany.
The aim of the Institute is to follow and assess the development of wellness profession; if necessary, it organises panel discussions for professional debates on current issues as well as supports researches and preparations of reports from the field of wellness activity for scientific and professional conferences.
Active participation of the Institute
In cooperation with mojstil.si, we offer students a reduced price for classical massage course, that are carried out also in Maribor. The massage course follows the programme for obtaining the NPK Masseur/Masseuse. It is suitable for beginners as well as for those who would like to improve their existing knowledge or formally confirm it. You do not need any prior knowledge to attend the course. After completing the training, you will be entered in the register of classical massage therapists maintained by myStil and will receive their diploma. The lecturers at the mojStil massage courses are active in their profession on a daily basis, most of them have their own clinics or are employed in hospitals, wellness, so they share a lot of practical advice with you. You will be lectured by: qualified physiotherapists, NPK massage therapists, doctors of medicine and members of the NPK examination board. For more information, please contact info@mojstil.si.
Activities of the International Institute for Wellness Development
The Institute aims to critically monitor the development of wellness profession and, where appropriate, organises panel discussions to provide expert debate on topical issues, as well as supporting research and the preparation of papers in the field of Welsh for scientific and professional conferences.

| 2020 | Participation in the Global Wellness Day project, with the theme of stress, overcoming it and living with it in our everyday lives.
The students organised and led stretching exercises, taught the participants how to overcome stress with games, how to keep a flexible spine, talked about the connection between ice cream and stress and finally took participants to experience a sound bath with Tibetan bowls. |

On this day, a number of activities and events are organised to raise awareness about the importance of wellness and active lifestyles. Students organised a healthy cooking workshop and took participants for a walk on a nearby hill. |
