Erasmus week for teaching staff 2020 at our college!
Dear Erasmus partners,
Vocational College of Hospitality and Tourism Maribor (SI MARIBOR03) would like to invite you to the 1st HOSPITALITY CROSSROADS Erasmus Week for teaching staff that will be held within the framework of Erasmus+ programme at VSGT Maribor (Slovenia), from 20 – 24 January 2020 in Maribor.
Important dates:
Arrival of participants: Sunday, 19 January or Monday, 20 January 2020
Beginning of the Staff Week activities: Monday, 20 January 2020, @ 12:00 hrs (noon)
End of the Staff Week: Friday, 24 January 2020 @ 14:00 hrs
Departures: Friday afternoon (24 January) or Saturday
Why Hospitality crossroads? Maribor is located at the crossroads of different culinary influences and paths; Austrian/Habsburg cuisine in the North, Hungarian lowlands in the NE, Mediterranean influence coming from the West, and the Balkan culinary route, influencing it from the South.
The 1st VSGT International Staff Week is aimed at teachers from short-cycle and Bachelor programmes from the following fields:
- Culinary arts
- Cultural heritage
- Cultural tourism
- Destination management
- Hospitality management
- Wellness
- Creativity in hospitality education
Erasmus+ exchange contents:
The 1st VSGT International Staff week will offer a combination of teaching and training. All participating teachers will be asked to deliver 4 hours of lectures/seminar, while also participating in up to 8 hours of training activities and workshops, organised by VSGT Maribor.
Participants of the 1st VSGT International staff week are eligible for applying for Erasmus+ funding at their respective institutions. We will be glad to sign cooperation agreements with all interested schools. All interested candidates for teaching exchange are kindly asked to send us a detailed teaching proposal (title and a short description of the content/course/workshop) in the attached Word document as well as your CV (can be in Europass or any other format). Staff week will be held in English language.
The application deadline is November 30, 2019. Number of participants: 15 (max. 2 per institution).
