Maribor hosted the first “long table” event. The concept of the event is to connect tourism, gastronomy providers and educational institutions in a first-class wine and culinary experience.
The velvet dinner – Žametna večerja or the first long table was organized by Factumevent, Zavod za turizem Maribor, VSGT Maribor, Srednja šola za gostinstvo in turizem Maribor and Biotehniška šola Maribor. Young talents and hopes and already established Michelin-awarded chefs were presented: Sebastjan Plevčak (VSGT Maribor, Restavracija Sedem), Uroš Štefelin and Marko Pavčnik, as well as young talents Nives Kovačič (VSGT Maribor) and Niko Marin (SŠGT Maribor). More than 100 students led by 14 mentors served the table with 150 guests.
The event was a huge success – congratulations to all students, pupils, mentors and everyone who participated in the event.
