NEW MEDALS AT THE NATIONAL COMPETITION
In November 2025, the prestigious national competition Gostinsko turistični zbor (GTZ) took place at Brdo pri Kranju. GTZ is regarded as the most important event in the hospitality and tourism industry in Slovenia. The competition brings together the best students and professionals from across the country and represents an exceptional opportunity to showcase knowledge, skills, and innovation.
The students of the Higher Vocational College for Hospitality and Tourism Maribor (VSGT) prepared thoroughly with their mentors and achieved remarkable results, confirming both the quality of education at the school and the dedication of the students. Ten students competed in six disciplines and achieved the following:

The GTZ competition is highly demanding, as it upholds the highest standards of the hospitality and tourism industry. The achievements of our students are a testament to their professionalism, creativity, and dedication, while also confirming the high quality of the educational process at VSGT. The awards and medals earned are an important contribution to the school’s reputation and an inspiration for future generations of students.
